De neus biedt bessen- en kersenfruit, hint van cacao en kruiden (rozemarijn). De mondinzet toont geconcentreerd sap variërend van frambozen tot bramen, heeft een licht florale toon en een ‘peperig’ kantje. In de mondontwikkeling associaties van kreupelhout en ‘bouquet garni’. De finale is sappig en toont een aantrekkelijke vitaliteit, met soepele tannine en een aangename fraîcheur. Deze ‘medium-bodied’ wijn is vanaf medio 2018 enigszins op dronk en heeft een goede bewaarpotentie. [maart 2018]
John Livingston (drinkrhone.com): “Soaked Morello cherries, with a note of rosemary, oak and crème de menthe feature on the nose. The palate shows oak vanilla within its sleek run of black berry, cherry fruits. The length is assured, the finish round. It has a sturdy heart, and increases its depth towards the close, where there is enough juice to allow a correct ageing.”
