[november 2017]
John Livingston/ drinkrhone.com: “The palate texture is nicely oily, which is one of its main ace cards; it is more sealed up than the classic 2012, has a smooth run of berry fruit with some meaty and prune intensity, shows tobacco on the aftertaste. I like its coated density. The mourvèdre stamps the finish – prune and licorice show there. From 2018.” [November 2013]
Jeb Dunnuck / Wine Advocate: “Surprisingly, I wasn’t able to taste his traditional Châteauneuf du Pape, but the 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée des Felix will certainly be outstanding. Still in foudre, it’s a superb effort from this estate with textbook dark fruits, smoke plum, roasted meat and wild herbs to go with a rich, textured and nicely concentrated feel. If you’re looking for classic, old-school styled wines, look no further.” (93-95)/100
Wine Cellar Inside: “Floral, black cherry and licorice notes, silky textures and a blast of ripe, sweet, fresh, polished red fruits shine through the round textured finish.”(91/100)
