Intens arômes of citrus (pink grapefruit) and welled apricot. The wine starts rich and balanced, showing yellow-orange fruit and citrus. She develops more greasy, with fresh tones and a brilliant minerality playing a counterpart. A wine well made and although fermented on barrique, the oak flavors are well balanced with the rich, exotic fruit tones. A Condrieu to combine with food, rich and ripe of taste, yet distinguished and elegant. [June 2018]
Lars Daniëls (o.a. Perswijn): “Ongelooflijk, wat een precisie, zoveel sap, zuren en ziltigheid, grote lengte, meesterlijk gevinifieerd”.
Vivino community member: “How could you resist a Condrieu when it’s so good ? This wine comes from the famous lieu-dit Vernon, where Georges Vernay has made his reputation. The most impressive here is the balance between the bouquet of apricot, candied zest, green almond, lavender, cream, and the superb mix of acidity and bitterness that holds the overall perfectly juicy and highly drinkable.”4.25/5
