Jean-Louis Thiers started his career in his father’s business, where the annual harvest was sold to wine merchants. In 1980, he and his wife moved to Toulaud, and since then he has focused on the sustainable production of his own Saint-Péray and Cornas wines. He also has a tree nursery. Toulaud lies in a small valley that enjoys its own micro climate. Drought tends to be a problem for these producers, and this can have an unfavourable impact on annual volume. This friendly producer makes an excellent sparkling wine, which is sold for an equally friendly price. Wine journalists in the Netherlands are full of praise.
